Gang sheet pricing is per square inch of film — which means every empty inch you ship us costs you money. Packing your sheet efficiently is the single biggest lever on your cost per transfer.
A gang sheet is a single piece of DTF transfer film with multiple designs arranged on it. Instead of printing one transfer per sheet (wasteful and expensive), you group all your designs on one film and we print the whole thing at once. Our online builder lets you drag, resize, and arrange designs until the sheet is packed as tightly as your artwork allows.
Leave at least 0.25" between designs — this is the minimum safe trim margin. You don't need more than 0.5". Anything more than that is dead space you're paying for. Our builder enforces a minimum gap, so you won't accidentally print overlapping designs, but it won't stop you from leaving unnecessary space.
The biggest efficiency gain comes from nesting shapes. If you have a left-chest logo with a curved swoosh and a separate wordmark, rotate one 90° and slide it into the concave space of the other. It sounds fussy but it adds up fast — a well-nested sheet often fits 20–30% more transfers than a grid-aligned one.
Submit your artwork at the exact dimensions you want pressed. Don't leave a 1" canvas border around a 3"×3" design — that border is wasted film. Crop tight in Photoshop or Illustrator before uploading. PNG at 300 DPI with a transparent background is the ideal format.
A 22"×24" sheet (our most popular size, starting at $15) can comfortably hold: 12–15 standard left-chest logos (3"–4" wide), or 6–8 full-back designs (10"–12" wide), or a mix of sizes if you nest carefully. Running multiple colourways of the same design? They stack cleanly in a grid and are very efficient to pack.
Our online builder is the easiest option for most customers — drag your PNGs in, arrange them, and checkout. If you're a print shop or professional decorator with your own pre-built gang sheet files, our upload option takes your file as-is and prints it exactly. Both options are same-day production.
